As the vibrant foliage of the Okemo Valley begins to signal the approach of cooler weather, many of us are already reaching for our favorite cozy sweaters and jackets. But for some of our neighbors, the colder months can bring significant hardship. That's why we're thrilled to announce the return of our annual Coat Drive, dedicated to ensuring everyone in our community stays warm this winter.
This year, now until November 30th, we're once again partnering with Black River Good Neighbor Services (BRGNS) to collect clean, gently used outer garments for those in need. BRGNS does vital work in our community, providing essential support and resources, and we are proud to help them in their mission to keep community members warm during the chilly Vermont winter.
"Coats donated have been distributed to children, adults and seniors in need within our community. Families facing financial hardship were able to focus on other basic needs, knowing that they had warm clothing to go through the winter months. Without a doubt, the Coat Drive reflects the power of community giving. Thanks so very much for making a difference!"
- Krey Kellington, BRGNS
What We're Looking For
We are kindly requesting clean outer garments in good working condition. Please, no ripped, stained, or broken zippers, as BRGNS works hard to provide quality items to those they serve.
Where and When to Donate
Dropping off your donations is easy! Bring your donations to the William Raveis Vermont Properties office located at 29 Locust Hill Road, Ludlow.
Our office hours are:
-
Monday - Saturday: 9 AM - 5 PM
-
Sunday: 10 AM - 4 PM
As the days grow shorter and the air turns crisp, imagine the comfort a warm coat will bring to a child waiting for the school bus, an adult walking to work, or a senior citizen trying to stay cozy at home. Your generosity can make all the difference.
Thank you in advance for your support in keeping our community warm this winter.
