Kathy Burns

My experience selling real estate in the Okemo Valley began over 32 years ago. In 1988 I returned to my home town after college, married my husband Scott, and began my real estate career. Scott and I worked together on Okemo Mountain for our first project and since we have been actively involved in several developments on Okemo and in the surrounding area.  To keep up with demand, I opened a second office located on Okemo in the Winterplace Condominium complex where Alyson Blodgett lends her talents as our Winterplace Broker. My goal has always been to best serve the needs of both buyers and sellers. To achieve this, I have worked hard to attain Realtor® ABR® CRS® GRI designations, and most recently, my Resort and Second-Home Property Specialist (RSPS) certification.

As a local business owner, I strongly believe in doing my part for our local community. Throughout four generations, my family has been deeply involved in the Okemo Valley. My husband Scott and I, along with our two daughters, ages 24 and 26, are proud to carry on the family tradition of serving the community of Ludlow as our entire family enjoys hiking, running, sailing and of course, skiing.

I am grateful for the opportunity to Chair the Okemo Community Challenge, work with Streetscapes and various nonprofit organizations in the area giving back to the community that has given my family so much. One of my favorite events is Flannel with Flare which benefits various causes through the Okemo Community Challenge.  Every year with the help of our friends and community members, we have been able to collect more than 100 winter clothing items to donate to Black River Good Neighbors. We are proud of our role in this project for over 10 years. Comedy Night is an annual event you won’t want to miss. This year's proceeds will benefit Okemo Mountain Alpine Race Association (OMARA).  OMARA is a non-profit booster club founded to support the young athletes, families, and coaches of Okemo Competition Programs and Okemo Mountain School. Vermont Properties & Development has been a proud supporter of OMARA for many years and we are proud to carry on this sponsorship with William Raveis Vermont Properties. We are excited to also sponsor several fun events throughout the summer months. We look forward to seeing our friends and neighbors at The Jackson Gore summer music series and Hops in the Hills.

I am always amazed by the effect that even one person can have on their local community. Together we can make a difference!

Alyson Blodgett

For over 19 years, I have been proud to be part of the William Raveis Vermont Properties Real Estate Team and have enjoyed my position as the Winterplace Broker. My previous work in the marketing department at Okemo Mountain has given me a great deal of knowledge about the Okemo Valley area and surrounding towns. My strong work ethic and passion for the real estate business motivate me as I focus on our clients and making every real estate transaction a positive experience.

In 2013, I received my Accredited Buyer's Representative (ABR) designation and Resort and Second Home Property Specialist (RSPS) certification. Both provide me with insight and expertise to assist buyers and sellers in this unique vacation home market. The ABR designation is considered the benchmark of excellence in buyer representation. My commitment is always to serve the best interests of our buyers and sellers. This is reflected in feedback from my customers who appreciate having a personalized and invested touch in this often too busy world.

I have two children under the age of 13 and enjoy camping, hiking, biking, skiing with and other outdoor activities with both of them. I feel fortunate to have the time to work with our William Raveis Vermont Properties Team on various community service projects and fundraisers. I also work with the Parent Teacher Student Association of the Mt Holly School and I am a member of the local Crown Point Board of Realtors.  Being part of both the Ludlow and Mt. Holly communities and raising my family in such a great place, reminds me every day why I live and work in the Okemo Valley.

As a member of the Vermont Properties team, we share all listings and load all properties under Kathy Burns. Please click on our William Raveis Vermont Properties Zillow site to see my listings too.  Look forward to working with you!

After graduating from Johnson and Wales University, I spent many years in the local hospitality industry forming strong ties to the Okemo Valley. In 2013, I joined Vermont Properties and Development, Inc. as a sales associate, bringing with me 4 years of experience in real estate sales and real estate investments. Since joining the VT Prop team, I have completed my Certified International Property Specialist course to better service our international buyers. I have also achieved the Luxury Property Specialist status and certificates for Chairman’s Club, President's Club, and Excellence in Customer Service by William Raveis.

I believe my knowledge of various software and the latest digital tools gives me the experience to remain current with the latest marketing trends in real estate.

I enjoy being very active in my community serving as the current president of Ludlow Rotary Cub, board member of the Little Ascutney Snowmobile Club, past president of the Reading Friends and Neighbors Community Foundation, past president of Reading Recreation Commission, and past board member of Okemo Community Challenge. I am also a member of the Vermont Association of Realtors® and past president for the Crown Point Board of Realtors.

As a native Vermonter, I live in Reading with my wife and pets. I spend as much time as I can with my 2 twenty-something sons and in my spare time, I enjoy all that Vermont has to offer including skiing, biking, boating, hiking, and snowmobiling.

Sarah Sheehan

As a native Vermonter, and someone who has grown up and is now raising my own children in Ludlow, I understand why people seek the very special lifestyle that Vermont and, more importantly, what the Okemo Valley offers.

I started my career in the hospitality industry intending to provide the best customer service experience. I bring this experience to my clients in every sale. As an agent, I truly enjoy helping both buyers and sellers achieve their real estate goals. My goal is to give you a well-informed, honest real estate experience.

I have been a Realtor since 2006, and for the past several years served as a Director on our local Crown Point Board of Realtors as well as the Okemo Valley Chamber of Commerce. I like to make a difference where I can and try to keep busy as my children are getting older and after-school obligations are sadly dwindling. However, you can still find me catching a basketball game.

In my years of selling real estate, I have sold an assortment of properties from historic B&B’s to slopeside condominiums. Being a life-long resident and Realtor since 2006, I have much experience with the array of possibilities on the mountain as well as the village and surrounding towns. I am happy to share this knowledge with you to help you decide where you may want your new home to be. Whether it is deciding between slopeside developments or debating between lakefront or country estates I can help you understand our market.

I pride myself on being up to date with the latest real estate technology, software, and education which to better serve buyers and sellers alike. In addition, to my REALTOR designation and Broker license, I have also obtained The Resort and Second-Home Property Specialist (RSPS) certification. This designation is a tool in which is for REALTORS® who specialize in buying, selling, or management of properties for investment, development, retirement, or second homes in a resort, recreational, and/or vacation destinations. In short, this helps me be more knowledgeable in my line of work to help you meet your goals of owning selling a vacation or investment property. Additionally, I am a Luxury Property Specialist. This designation requires training every two years and a certain threshold of luxury sales over $1M. I have also obtained the PSA (Pricing Strategy Advisor) and CHP (Certified Homeownership Program). PSA designation means that I can better help you price your property or a property that you are interested in purchasing. Determining property values depends more than ever on professional expertise and competence, the best use of technology, and approaching the pricing assignment from various perspectives. I will do this by creating CMAs, working with appraisers, and guiding clients through the anxieties and misperceptions they often have about home values. The CHP designation has given me a more comprehensive understanding of mortgage, insurance, and settlement procedures.

Our firm/company works tirelessly to be an industry leader by not so much following trends but by making them. I am lucky enough to work with an amazing team here in Ludlow and an enormous network of talented Raveis agents to call on to bounce ideas, refer clients, share listings with, and marketing ideas.  The list of collaboration options goes on.

Joe Karl

Hailing from Fairfield County, Connecticut, my ties with the Okemo Valley started when I was married in Ludlow back in 1996. Part of the first team assembled to launch Jackson Gore in 1998, I have been selling area properties ever since and enjoy helping people find just the right home. 22 years later, I still enjoy every interaction. Listen first, show second is my motto.

I know every inch of Okemo mountain and the surrounding valley. When I decided to build my own dream home, I cleared the land and oversaw all aspects of the building process. This gave me a unique perspective that I use to guide my customers through a sometimes complex process.

I have been actively serving on the Crown Point Board of Realtors for many years, including one term as President, and was named “Realtor of the Year” in 2015. In my spare time I have led Okemo snowshoe hikes for over 18 years, mountain bike religiously and, also "skin" up Okemo at least once a week.  When not conducting real estate or playing outdoors I tend to our 36-acre mini-farm complete with dogs, a cat, and chickens. My wife and three incredible daughters embrace the bucolic lifestyle of Vermont. All three children grew up skiing Okemo, two are now instructors. Buying a home is a milestone event, it brings me great pleasure to help families find the perfect home in this beautiful Okemo Valley area.
