2023 Coat Drive Wrap-up

The Okemo Valley Coat Drive is an annual initiative aimed at collecting warm jackets and winter coats to distribute among individuals and families in need within the Okemo Valley community and is organized by William Raveis Vermont Properties. This year, the Vermont Properties Team successfully collected an abundant supply of jackets and winter coats to support the local community in need. All the donated jackets will be distributed to the Black River Good Neighbor Services, a prominent nonprofit organization dedicated to providing essential resources and support to individuals and families in the area.

The Black River Good Neighbor Services has been a pillar of support for the Okemo Valley community for many years. Through their various programs and services, this esteemed organization strives to address issues related to food security, clothing, household items, and more. They remain committed to their mission of helping those in need, and the donated jackets from the 2023 Coat Drive will significantly aid them in fulfilling their objectives.

Thank you to the community members who generously donated jackets. We hope this contribution will provide much-needed warmth and comfort to individuals and families facing challenging circumstances during the colder months. Visit VTProp.com to learn about future events and initiatives aimed at bettering the Okemo Valley.

Take a Hike with Joe Karl! A Snowshoe Guided Tour

alt tag

Our team is excited to share the upcoming Full Moon Snowshoe Hike on Sunday, February 5th! Our very own, Joe Karl, will be leading this event hosted by Okemo Mountain. Join our Realtor Joe and your local friends for a two-hour snowshoe hike through Jackson Gore from 6 to 8 p.m. Meet the group in the Jackson Gore Courtyard before the trek! The Okemo crew will be welcoming you with granola bars from Nature Valley and hot chocolate to enjoy. Also, there will be headlamps and whistles available for us, but you'll need to bring your own snowshoes (Okemo does not have snowshoe rentals).

Joe Karl is an avid adventurer. Not only does he frequently snowshoe around the Okemo Valley, but he also enjoys backcountry and downhill skiing, hiking, biking, and so much more. He has begun passing down his love for snowshoeing to his daughters. Joe has been performing guided snowshoe tours at Okemo for 21 years for all types of events like the torchlight parades and fireworks displays. This is his second tour of the 2022/2023 winter season.

Will you be joining Joe? See you out there!
